Ladies Talk Money is a free, online platform and community that aims to tackle the complex relationship between women, our finances and the systemic barriers keeping us from true financial equality:
one conversation at a time!
About the platform
For decades, women have been conditioned to believe that money; the business of earning it, investing it, being in charge of it and mastering it, is the domain of men. But who benefits from keeping women out of the conversation? Spoiler: not us.
From tackling the final taboo about why women still feel uncomfortable talking about money to the burden of unpaid work, you can expect stigma-smashing and jargon-free conversations, rooted in the belief that open dialogue is the first step to financial empowerment, autonomy and (most importantly) the change that the world, and its women, desperately need.
No shame. No stigma. No jargon. Lots of fun!
A word on ladies*…
*Ladies Talk Money aims to tackle some of the issues around financial inequality that exist for those who do not identify as men, and we hope to create a space that is inclusive of all women-identifying, trans and non-binary people.
We also acknowledge that ‘ladies’ has connotations of women who are ‘refined’, ‘softly spoken’ and ‘polite’ - we are not trying to be any of those things. Rather, we are hoping to reclaim the word ‘ladies’ for people who are having unapologetic conversations about money. All of this is to say that, if you feel that you would benefit from the insight and financial information included in this community, then we warmly welcome you to pull up a chair!
