What’s so special about Ladies Talk Money?

We like to think it’s a certain je ne sais quoi… but it’s more likely the fact that Ladies Talk Money is designed by women, for women, to be inclusive, jargon and BS-free and non-intimidating. On the whole, the finance industry doesn’t do a great job of doing that, especially for women so, we want to fill that gap at the same time as creating meaningful structural change in the industry to make it better for everyone.

What will I learn?

If we do our jobs right, Ladies Talk Money will give you a greater understanding of the broader financial landscape, and how that uniquely impacts women today (for better or worse). You will also learn ways that you can tackle some of these issues, which will hopefully lead to an increase in money confidence and some positive financial outcomes for you and for all women. We cover a range of topics from super to investing and even how to have successful conversations with your partner about money. Visit the conversations page for an overview of all the things we’ll be exploring and if there’s something we’ve missed that you’d like to see us cover, please get in touch at hello@ladiestalkmoney.com.au

Who is Ladies Talk Money for?

There is a lot of general financial information out there, but too much of it is aimed at white men earning six figure salaries. Ladies Talk Money is not for them. It’s for you! The LTM platform has been designed to tackle some of the issues around financial inequality that exist for those who do not identify as men, and we hope to create a space that is inclusive of all women-identifying, trans and non-binary people. We also acknowledge that ‘ladies’ has connotations of women who are ‘refined’, ‘softly spoken’ and ‘polite’ - we are not trying to be any of those things. Rather, we are hoping to reclaim the word ‘ladies’ for people who are having unapologetic conversations about money. All of this is to say that, if you feel that you would benefit from the insight and financial information included on this site, then we warmly welcome you to pull up a chair!
