How to talk about money: a guide

No BS. No apologies. Here’s your practical guide to how, and why, to start having open and honest conversations about money.

For too long, women have been taught that money isn’t something we should care about.  From investing to super, the world has told us to play small, stay quiet, and let men take the financial reigns. This collective silence has left women with huge financial knowledge gaps and an internalised fear of all things money. It’s time to ask: who benefits? Who benefits from our collective silence and discomfort? Who benefits from women having less knowledge, money and power? It’s certainly not women.

The stats don’t lie: 8 in 10 women feel uncomfortable talking about money, even with those they are closest to. But, given the painfully slow progress towards gender equality and the fact that women the world over are paid less, living longer and doing more of the work - it’s one of the most important things we need to be talking about.

If we keep sweeping money chats under the rug, it’s going to be pretty darn difficult to get better at it, and it’s going to be pretty darn difficult to change things.

But ladies, you don’t have to go it alone! We’ve created this free downloadable guide to help you start talking about money - with your friends, your family, your colleagues, heck - with the woman on the bus! Any place, any time - ladies, we need to talk...about money!
